* * Instructions
for
listing merchandise for sale on BLUEBIRDSHOPPER.COM
* * *
|
|
1. On
the
www.bbshopper.com homepage, click on “Register”
(your personal info is for our internal use only, and will not be
shared with ANYONE!)
|
|
2. Set
up your account by filling in the simple registrations grid: (see example
below...It’s simple, easy, & FREE!)
|
| (Hint:
select a UserID, up to 10 characters, that will protect your anonymity, and is
something you can remember. Your name and address will NOT show in your
listings, only your phone number & city.) |
|
3. Once
you've registered, you are now ready to start loading your merchandise for
sale. On the BlueBird Shopper home page, click on “Sell/Announce”.
|
| 4. To
begin listing, choose the main category for your first item from the “drop
down” menu, then select the appropriate subcategory(s), until you arrive at the
“Title & Description” page (See example below). The TITLE
is name you assign to your item (there is a 50 character maximum), and it is
the text that the keyword searches will scan to seek results for shoppers, so
be sure to list things like the brand, the model, and also the generic name of
your item (ie “table lamp”). The better job you do of completely listing this
information, the more often your item will be included in keyword
searches. In the description box, (5,000 character maximum) put in as
much information as you can, as the more information you can provide, the fewer
questions people will ask, and it will improve the chances your item will
sell. When you’ve completed the DESCRIPTION, press the CONTINUE
button. |
|
 |
|
| |
| 5. You
can now choose to either list your item as a REGULAR advertisement or as
an AUCTION (See Below). A REGULAR advertisement means you
will have only a fixed price offered for sale. To complete your REGULAR
advertisement with a fixed price, simply insert your item price in the box to
the right of the $ sign (and “X” or best offer, if desired), and click on the CONTINUE
button. To list your item as an AUCTION, click on the circle to the left
of “Auction your item”, and insert a STARTING BID (we suggest a lower
amount here to encourage bidding), then insert the minimum bid to accept (Your
item will not sell unless a buyer bids at least this amount). The SELL NOW
PRICE is optional, and it is the price you would accept if someone
wants to purchase the item immediately (which effectively adds the REGULAR
advertisement component to your AUCTION listing). Now you simply
select the number of days you would like to run your auction from the drop down
menu. (we suggest running it for 21 or 28 days until a satisfactory
amount of traffic has been generated on BlueBirdShopper.com). After
selecting the auction duration, click on the CONTINUE button. |
|
|
 |
|
| |
| 6.
Review your listing, make any changes, and click on the “ACCEPT”
button. |
|
|
 |
|
| |
| 7. You
can attach as many digital photos as you would like, and it is very simple,
fast, and easy to do. Just click on the browse button, locate your
image(s), double click on the image to insert the file location and picture
number into the box, then click “UPLOAD PHOTO”. Repeat the process
until all your photos have been added, and when you are finished adding all the
pictures, click on “DONE UPLOADING PHOTOS” and the system will be queued
up to add your next listing. If you are not adding any photos, just click
on “SKIP PHOTO UPLOAD”, and you are finished. You can now go on to
the next listing, or log out. |
